Hydro Jetting

Hydro jetting is a drain and sewer cleaning method that uses high-pressure water — typically 1,500–4,000 PSI — delivered through a specialized nozzle to scour the interior walls of pipes clean. Unlike drain snaking, which only punches a hole through a blockage, jetting cleans the entire circumference of the pipe wall, removing grease buildup, mineral scale, biofilm, and root intrusions. A forward-cutting nozzle breaks up blockages while rear-facing jets propel the nozzle forward and flush debris downstream.

Hydro jetting is the gold standard for drain cleaning in both residential and commercial applications. For commercial kitchens, it is the only method that effectively removes hardened grease from drain lines. For residential sewer lines with root intrusion, it removes the roots and cleans the pipe before camera inspection is performed. Jetting is performed by trained technicians who select nozzle type and pressure based on the pipe material, diameter, and condition.

What This Means for You

If your drains have been slow, backing up, or clogging repeatedly — especially in older homes or commercial kitchens — hydro jetting is the service to request. It provides a clean pipe, not just a cleared pipe. Results typically last much longer than snaking because the debris that would cause the next blockage has been removed.
