Problem

This residential septic system in Independence consists of two 1,000-gallon septic tanks and a 1,000-gallon pump tank serving a mound system. All three tanks have concrete manhole covers located at grade, providing excellent access for routine septic pumping and maintenance. At-grade access is especially valuable during Minnesota winters because the tank openings can be located and serviced without digging through frozen soil.

Solution

We pumped and serviced both 1,000-gallon septic tanks and the 1,000-gallon pump tank serving the mound system. The concrete manhole covers were already installed at grade, allowing direct access to all three tanks.
