Three-Tank Mound Septic System Pumping with Difficult Access – Chaska, MN

 · Chaska, Carver County, MN  · Mound Septic System Pumping

Problem

This Chaska residential septic system consists of two 1,500-gallon septic tanks and a 1,500-gallon pump tank serving a mound system. Although the concrete manhole covers are conveniently located at grade, the significant elevation difference between the driveway and septic tanks made it impractical to properly pump the system with the truck positioned at the driveway.

Solution

To safely and effectively service the system, we drove the septic truck into the field and positioned it closer to the tanks, eliminating the difficult elevation pull from the driveway. We then pumped and serviced both 1,500-gallon septic tanks and the 1,500-gallon pump tank through the at-grade concrete manholes. This large-capacity system has approximately 4,500 gallons of total tank capacity and discharges to a mound drainfield.
