2-Acre Land Clearing & Final Grading – Mayer, MN

 · Mayer, Carver County, MN  · Land Clearing & Final Grading

Problem

Approximately two acres of this Mayer property had become heavily overgrown with brush and trees, along with large piles of dirt left from ponds that were excavated years ago. The property has a very high-water table, and the surrounding woods limit sunlight and airflow, making it extremely difficult for the ground to dry. After completing the major clearing work, wet conditions throughout the summer repeatedly delayed the final grading. The overgrowth also completely blocked the view of a second pond from the house, leaving a significant portion of the property hidden and difficult to use.

Solution

Minnesota Sewer Pros cleared approximately two acres of brush, trees, and overgrown vegetation and worked down the old dirt piles left from the original pond excavation. Once ground conditions finally became dry enough to work without damaging the property, we returned and completed the final grading and contouring. The finished project reclaimed a large section of previously unusable property and created a significantly larger, clean and usable yard area that is now ready for seed. Clearing the wooded and overgrown area also opened the sightline to the property's second pond, allowing it to be seen from the house for the first time. After battling the high-water table and wet weather for much of the summer, the final grading turned out extremely well. The owner's next step is establishing grass—and getting ready for a considerably larger yard to mow.
